Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
This website is operated by eLand, Lda, Rua Carlos Charbel, 39A, Loja, Cacem, Portugal, which is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, use the contact details on our Terms & Conditions page, or write to the postal address above. You do not need to submit a purchase offer to contact us about privacy.
2. Information we process
When you submit an enquiry, we process your name, email address, proposed amount, and any company name or message you choose to provide. We also record the domain concerned, a submission reference, the submission date and time, and the versions of the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy you accepted. Required fields are marked in the form; without them, we cannot process an offer through that form.
Our hosting and security infrastructure may process technical information such as IP address, browser information, request time and security events. Please do not send payment-card details, identity documents or sensitive personal information through the enquiry form.
3. Why we use the information
We use enquiry information to review your proposal, reply to you and take steps you request before a possible transaction. Where you act on your own behalf, the legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps at your request. Where you represent an organisation, we rely on our legitimate interest in communicating with business representatives and evaluating commercial enquiries.
We rely on legitimate interests to protect the website, prevent abuse and keep proportionate records of communications. We process information when required to meet legal obligations. Acceptance of the website documents does not subscribe you to marketing or authorise advertising cookies. We do not use this form to create marketing lists or sell your personal data.
4. Who may receive the information
Access is limited to people who handle enquiries and the technical providers needed to operate the website, hosting, security and email infrastructure. The website and submission function are hosted by Netlify; email is handled through our own mail infrastructure. Providers process information under the arrangements applicable to their services and, where required, on our instructions.
If a transaction is agreed, information may be shared as necessary with the registrar, an agreed payment or transaction provider, professional advisers or competent authorities. We do not publish your offer or contact details.
5. International processing
Some hosting providers and their subprocessors may process personal data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are covered by an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. You may request information about the safeguards relevant to your data using the contact route above.
6. How long we keep information
Enquiries that do not lead to a transaction are kept for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, then deleted or anonymised. Records connected with a completed transaction are kept for the periods required by applicable law. We may retain relevant information for longer where necessary for an active dispute or a legal obligation.
Application security records under our control are normally kept for up to 30 days, unless needed to investigate an incident. Hosting providers may also retain limited operational records under their applicable security and retention arrangements. Backup copies are removed through the normal secure backup cycle and are not used for new commercial purposes.
7. Cookies and similar storage
This website does not use optional analytics, advertising or social-media cookies. It uses necessary browser storage to remember your privacy settings. This storage does not contain the offer amount or an advertising identifier.
| Storage name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| oemglassware_privacy_preferences_v1 | First-party local storage that records your privacy-settings choice, its date and the policy version. | Up to 180 days; the site checks expiry and removes expired settings. |
You can reopen from the footer at any time. You can also remove this storage in your browser. Blocking it does not prevent you from reading the site or submitting an offer, although the settings notice may reappear. Optional tracking will not be introduced without updating this policy and requesting any consent required.
8. Your rights
Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Use the contact details on our Terms & Conditions page or the postal address in section 1. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by law, normally one month. You may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, CNPD, or another competent supervisory authority.
9. Automated checks and security
The form uses automated format, submission-criteria and anti-abuse checks. These checks do not conclude a sale, reserve the domain or make a decision with legal or similarly significant effects about you. We use proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections and restricted access.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website or its processing changes. The latest version and its date are displayed here. Where a change requires a new choice or consent, we will request it before the relevant processing begins.
